Having taken some initial advice from JB on what rifle to get next, I secured my variation and purchased through him a 22-250 Sako, Nocpix H50R scope, rings etc.
JB arranged for me to visit his range in order to set everything up.
The day duly arrived and we spent the first hour setting up the rifle and scope making sure everything was trued up. We then went through bore scoping, taking an initial group at fifty yards, collecting bullet speeds for the BC function on the scope. Once the data was input JB put me through my paces and had me easily smashing gongs at 500yds which with a thermal scope is amazing. The range is capable of ranges up of 1000yds, well beyond the limits of a thermal scope and I am hoping for another session to have a go at these longer ranges with an appropriate scope/rifle combination.
JB’s advice, encouragement friendly banter has you at ease from the get go. Coupled with his knowledge of shooting and coaching a trip to the range with him is well worth it. I can only speak for myself, but I hope to be making frequent trips to set up my other rifles and tap in to JBs extensive knowledge.
